研究テーマ
ジェネリック医薬品およびサプリメントの品質評価
国は医療費削減対策の一環として、ジェネリック医薬品の使用を推奨しています。一方、高価なサプリメントを購入し、無意味な服用を続けている患者も見うけられます。そこで我々はジェネリック医薬品およびサプリメントの品質を第三者機関として評価します。
CyDの臨床への応用とその評価
従来、CyD（シクロデキストリン）を用いて難水溶性薬物の溶解性改善に取り組んでいましたが、CyDの多機能性を活用し、例えばにおいのマスキング作用などを臨床に応用し、治療・介護に役立てたい。
香りの効果の解明（アロマコロジー）
この領域の研究はこれからの分野で、効果を立証するための計測手法等を模索する。将来的に、薬物療法に加えアロマコロジーを補助的に導入することで、薬物投与量の減量が図れるものと考えている。
学生へのメッセージ

研究テーマ
薬物の体内動態特性の解明ならびに薬物療法の最適化に関する研究
薬物の生体内での動き（薬物動態）は生体内外の各種因子の影響を受け変動します。これら変動因子の特定や変動の程度を解明し、実際の臨床症状と関連付けて説明できるようになればより安全かつ有効な薬物療法が可能になると考え研究しています。
医薬品製剤の品質評価に関する研究
医薬品製剤の品質は安全性確保の観点から保証されなければなりません。安全な医薬品を安心して服用できる環境を実現させるべく、品質試験法、評価システムの開発や流通する医薬品製剤の品質評価を行っています。
経肺投与製剤の開発と機能評価
経肺投与された薬物が目的とする効果を確実に発揮できるように、添加剤の探索および粒子やデバイスの設計・評価を通して、最適な製剤の開発に取り組んでいます。

医療現場で起きている事象を研究テーマとしておりますので、得られた結果は医療ニーズに応えた医薬品の開発に直結します。新規化合物・新剤形の開発、用法・用量の変更や適応追加など幅広い提案ができると思います。
学生へのメッセージ
